G. and Malinda (Buckner) HAMPTON; father was educator and farmer; paternal grandparents Ransom and Mary (Lackey) HAMPTON, maternal grandparents John and Malinda (Kennerly) BUCKNER; educated Winchester, Tenn.; in early life was telegraph operator; later became Railroad Superintendent; President Tennessee Consolidated Coal Company, Tracy City, Tenn.; also Pratt Consolidated Coal Company, Birmingham, Ala.; stockholder and Director of First National Banks, Nashville, Tullahoma and Tracy City; also Bank of Cowan and American Trust & Savings Bank, Birmingham, Ala.; First Savings Bank & Trust Company, Nashville, Tenn., and is also interested in Nashville Railway & Light Company; married Lula E. ROBBINS, December 22, 1892; Democrat; member M. E. Church, South; member Odd Fellows, Knights of Pythias, National Union, Hermitage Club and Golf and Country Club, Nashville.
