(Snider) DUNN; father’s occupation, farmer; paternal grandparents Greene and Rachel (Henry) DUNN, maternal grandparents George and Susannah (Handley) SNIDER; educated at Porter Academy; began career as a teacher; admitted to bar in 1902; was a candidate for representative of Blount Co., Tenn., in 1910 on Democratic ticket, the county having a Republican majority of 1500, he made a gain of 900 votes and was defeated by 600; interested in mercantile business, real estate and lumbering; married Mary Alice BIRD, June 7, 1905; member I. O. O. F.; member of M. E. Church, South.
