FULTS, Jefferson D., lawyer; German and English descent; son of Smith and Timie Ellen (Sanders) FULTS; father, farmer; paternal grandparents Daniel and Philadelphia (Thompson) FULTS, maternal grandparents Thomas and Polly Mary (Cox) SANDERS; educated common schools, Shook College, Tracy City, Tenn., University of Tenn., at Knoxville, and Cumberland University Law School, Lebanon, Tenn., graduated from latter LLB. Degree, January, 1904; reared on farm and began his career as a teacher, later was superintendent of public instruction for Grundy Co., Tenn., 1900-1908 inclusive; since 1904 he has been engaged in the practice of law and was editor of county paper, “Mrs. Grundy,” Tracy City, Tenn., for several years prior to 1911; married Annie M. WILLIAMS, July 18, 1909; member Knights of Pythias, Past Chancellor of home lodge, but holds no office at present; member of Baptist church.
