College; studies medicine in the College of Physicians & Surgeons, Baltimore, Md.; began career as a farmer; married Nancy S. RANGE, Feb. 27, 1883; member Masons, I.O.O.F., and Knights of Pythias; Republican; postmaster of Straw Plains, Tenn. Member of Church of the Disciples; president and manager for the Campbell & Deane Co., engaged in general merchandise, and crushing limestone for railroad ballast, etc.
