M.; (1906); member of Masonic Lodge; Democrat; represented Gibson Co., in Tenn., General Assembly, 1907; reared on farm; taught school for several years; teacher of business, also English and Latin in Hall Moody Institute, at Martin, Tenn., 1905-1906; Lecturer; owner and editor of Dyer Reporter since 1902; member of Baptist church.
