BALL, Clyde L., lawyer; born at Dyer, Tenn., Sept. 2, 1890; Scotch-Irish descent; son of Albert L. and Addie A. (Gordon) Ball; father was a retail merchant; maternal grandparents J. L. and L. (Flowers) GORDON; paternal grandparents W. R. and E. A. BALL; educated in West Tenn., College; graduated in law from Cumberland University, June 1910; married Zula NORVELL, Jan. 20, 1908; member of Woodmen of the World; Democrat; served two years in Tenn. State militia, attained rank of corporal; left home at the age of twelve years, located at Garland City, Ark.; moved to Texas, where he remained for nine years; was professional base ball player (pitcher) two years; President and Manager of the Dyer Democratic Club; for past two years; engaged in practice of law at Dyer, Tenn.
