Monday, May the 5th 1851

State of Tennessee Wayne County§ Be it Remembered that a Quorum Court for the County of Wayne was began and held at the Court house in the town of Waynesboro on the 5th day it beaing[sic] the first Monday in May in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fifty one and in the 75th year of American Independence the following Justices present and presiding to wit D.J. JONES Chairman YOUNG [LAFFERTY – crossed out] & BARKER his associates. [words underlined as in original]

Settlement between Williams JONES Clerk of this Court and John S [or T] BURNS Guardian to C D & I [or J] V. MACK minor heirs of R.H. MACK was this day submitted to the Court which was confirmed and ordered to be recorded.

Ordered by the Court that Moses HILL be appointed overseer of the road of 2d Class in the place of Charles PARKER and that he have E RILEY James WALKE [poss. WALKER] Wm. J. YOUNG and the hands in that bounds to work under his direction Isued May 5th 1851

Ordered by the court that Robert M POAG be appointed overseer of the road of 2d Class in the place of Joseph S ROBNETT and that he have the hands in the same bounds to work under his direction Isued May 5, 1851

Cam Ibby G GALLAHER Guardian to the minor heirs of John GALLAHER Dec’d and renewed his bond in the sum of two thousand dollars with Joseph G GALLAHER & Amos H GALLAHER her securities which was approved of by the Court and ordered to be recorded

Ordered by the Court that the Clerk of this Court so amend the settlement made with William POLLARD Administrator of the estate of Jacob A. KEATON Deceased as to give the said Wm POLLARD a credit of three dollars & sixty seven cents the amount paid by him to John L CYPERT account which was duly approven and presented
