H. J. Cardwell, a well know planter of Warren County, was born near Cumberland Gap, Claiborne Co., Tenn., in 1825. He is the son of Francis and Judy (Lebow) Cardwell. The father was of English descent, born in Virginia, and in about 1806 immigrated to Tennessee and settled in Warren County. Mrs. Akeman, 77, Buried Yesterday Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Akeman, widow of John W. Akeman, died at Riverview Rest Home Tuesday morning at 8:30 o’clock at Smyrna Church of Christ. Rev. Emmett and Silas F. Akeman, 80, Dies Of Illness John Walton Akeman, 80-year-old retired farmer and well known Warren county citizen, died at his home at Smyrna Thursday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock following an illness of two months.
