Joe Emmett Beard Buried In Overton Funeral services for Joe Emmett Beard, retired farmer, were conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the chapel of High Funeral Home with H. Curtis Erwin, Minister of Magness Memorial Baptist Church, officiating. Burial took place at Allen cemetery in Overton county. Daylight Community – The Stewart community is greatly grieved by the sudden and unexpected death of Mrs. Silas Beard. She and her husband had visited a son only a short way off Saturday night and had returned and gotten in bed when she suddenly became sick and in two minutes was dead.
