Mrs. Ida Bess, Former Resident, Dies In Arizona

News of the death in Phoenix, Ariz., of Mrs. Ida Bess, former Warren countian, was received here last week by her sister-in-law, Mrs. E.J. Morton of Tarlton. Mrs. Bess died in a Phoenix hospital October 26 after a week’s illness. She was 70. Mrs. Bess, widow of Jack Bess, resided with her family near Irving College and at Mt. Zion in this county before moving to Arizona 20 years ago. Her husband died 28 years ago and is buried at Mt. Zion and a son, Burger Bess, died in Arizona 14 years ago. Mrs. Bess was a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church of this county. Funeral services were held Saturday at 11:30 o’clock at a Phoenix funeral home with Rev. Tillman Habegger officiating. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery, Phoenix. Surviving including a brother, L.H. Williams; two sisters, Mrs. H.R. Etter and Mrs. Sam Lynn, all of Phoenix.
