Warren Native Dies At Home Of Daughter

Word was received by the Standard this week of the death on March 28 of Mrs. Belle Woodlee Benefield, former resident of McMinnville and a native of the Irving College section of Warren county. She was 82. Mrs. Benefield, the only daughter of the late Greer Woodlee, died at the home of her youngest daughter, Mrs. Henry DeBock, at Chico, Calif. Funeral services and burial took place there. The Warren county native was married to the late Chelius C. Benefield, former teacher, Warren county surveyor and superintendent of Tennessee coal mines. He preceded her in death two years ago. Mrs. Benefield is survived by three daughters, two sons, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
