BEAR, Teddy Samuel – (d. 1999)
McMinnville resident and Bakersfield, Calif., native Teddy Samuel Bear, 27, was murdered Jan. 2 in Gadsden, Ala. A cellular communications agent and a member of the Pentecostal faith, he served his country in the U.S. Marines during Desert Storm. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Clark Bear; his father, Emmet Bear of McMinnville; his mother, Cathy Bear of McMinnville; maternal grandmother, Della May Casady of White Field, Okla.; paternal grandmother, Ella Mae Moore of Bakersfield, Calif.; two sons, Devin Andrew Bear of McMinnville and David Samuel Bear of California; one daughter, Storm Flanery of McMinnville; two sisters, Patricia Mae Bear of Ft. Smith, Ark., and Shannon Catherine Beals of McMinnville; two brothers-in-law, George Beals of McMinnville and John Efurd of Ft. Smith, Ark.; one nephew, Emmet Beals of McMinnville; several aunts and uncles.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home Chapel with Tony White officiating. Burial will follow at White Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County with military graveside rites administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be held from 19 p.m. today, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. until time of services Friday at LoveCantrell & Cope. LoveCantrell & Cope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
