S.P. Pecktol Cemetery
Located at Wadlow Gap Road near the Tennessee Virginia state lines in Bloomingdale. The cemetery is overgrown and many stones had fallen over. It is possible that there were more stones we were unable to find. There were two visible graves marked by fieldstones.
Photographed and transcribed 31 Dec 2004 by Betty Jane Hylton, Jan Clark and Donna Briggs, members of the Cemetery Survey Team of Northeast Tennessee.

Additional information
The family gave the information that W. T. Draper was not a relative. He came through the area and stayed with the Pecktol family for several years. I was unable to locate him in the census, although I was able to locate a death certificate for him. It stated that he was a farmer, his parents were John and Elizabeth Draper, but his (and their) birthplaces were unknown to the informant, F. H. Pectol. Mr. Draper was single and died of “general break down from age.” It lists his burial location as “5 miles east of Kingsport.” ~DB
