Keys, Letitia Gaines (d. 1878)
Sudden Death — Miss Letitia Gaines KEYS, daughter of Mr. Jno. T. KEYS, died very suddenly on Friday night last, about one o’clock. Miss KEYS’ mind had been affected for the last 18 months or two years. About twelve months ago she was sent the asylum at Staunton, and was discharged, as cured, from that institution 6 months ago. Since her return her condition both mentally and physically has been apparently very little better. She had complained of nothing more serious than a sever pain occasionally in her head and neck. It is thought that her sudden demise was caused by some neuralgic affection of the heart. She has been a great sufferer for several years, as has also other members of this family, who have been peculiarly afflicted by disease, and who are the recipients of the sympathies of our people.
