Also known at one time as the Neil Cemetery, and also the Everette Cemetery.

Located near the intersection of Stone Drive, Bloomingdale Pike and Woodmont Avenue, near the Country Garden apartments.  This cemetery has been abandoned and is overgrown with briars and weeds.  There were approximately twenty graves marked by field stones and many more unmarked graves.  We estimated that there were as many as 100 graves here.

  1. Looking for graves of Caleb Shipley and Elizabeth Galloway Shipley, they are supposed to be buried in Groseclose Cemetery on Reedy Road, Kingsport, TN.
    Need help please.

    • My great, great grandfather, James Eugene Marion, is supposed to be buried here. Per a cousin, told to her by her grandfather, the grandson of James. Most likely his wife and two youngest children are also buried here.

      • Found a deed where Samuel Marion, sold his inherited land from John Marion to James Neil in 1883. Neil and Marion lands bordered before the sale. In defining the border a Shipley graveyard is referenced; Sullivan Co, TN deed book 35 page 427.

      • Could you get in touch with me about James Marion? My great-great-great grandfather is the same man I believe—per a cousin’s research!
