Cowan-Delaney Cemetery
Located on the embankment at the corner of Rooty Branch Road, where it intersects with South Holston Dam Road. The cemetery is very overgrown and several markers have fallen (as of July 2013.) There were several “head and shoulder” tombstones now illegible and approximately 45 graves either marked by fieldstones or unmarked.

Robert Cowan Revolutionary War info is not correct. DAR rejected this info. A grandson’s obit states he did fight at Trenton. Only one Pa unit of riflemen fought at Trenton. Troops were from NewEngland primarily. I would welcome sharing info with other researchers on this line.
