I'm looking for the death date and burial site of Indiana Webster BLANTON in Dover. She was married to Richard BLANTON in 1851. She is in the 1850 thru 1880 census but in 1900 it shows Richard as being married to Martha ? for 18 years -- Richard and Martha had no children. By these dates, it would seem she died about 1882. MCDOWELL, CATHEY, NEILL, REED. I am seaching for the former Husband of Mary Neill,or Mary Cathey Neill, dau. of George Cathey Sr.,who put in 2 2500 acre land grants after the Revolution, one in Bedfrod(then),later Marshall Co,and the other in Davidson Co.(then),later Williamson,Co. then Maury Co. Mary Neill was married to Andrew Neill,Mary and Andrew moved to Morengo Co.(formerly Greene)Ala. in 1818,when the records state that Andrew Neill's "Stepson"-Joseph Cathey McDowell, went to Ala. and brought him back in 1838 to the same nieghborhood in Tn. on the premise of Andrew's Son being killed or Murdered, most think this was because Andrew had a son that had possibly been at the Alamo, since his brother J.C.Neill, was the Alamo's Commander,(but on leave because of a sick wife and fundraising for the Cause) What we are trying to find is this: What McDowell,(probably in N.C.) was Mary Cathey Neill married to before marrying Andrew Neill, she would have lived in the same neighborhood as Gen. Chas. McDowell.

I believe my ancestor, Micajah C LINDSEY may have moved from Trigg or Christian Co. Kentucky into Tennessee around 1812-1812. From there he went to Alabama by 1816. His name has been spelled LINDSEY, LINDSAY, LINSEY, LINSAY, etc., in various records in NC, AL, and MS. Are there any records available that I could search (or pay someone to search) that could confirm or disprove that Micajah and his family were in Stewart Co.?

HOWELL, DONALDSON, ROPER.
Jane Donaldson HOWELL..born about 1823 Tn. married Thomas Randle Redding Roper..Charles Roper's son. Was told Jane had brother Isaac Henry Mason Howell, and Sally Donelson Howell. Family records say their mother died young. Since William Howell lived next to Charles Roper in the 1850 censu..I am leaning toward him being the father since he has a wife that is much younger than him. Searching your
sight..you have listed in Deed Book C. a James HOWELL, deed gift to
son William Howell, various property...2/4/1811. Paul Howell is mentioned 7/24.1809, 1812,1813, 5/22/1817, Samuel Howell 2.14.1807,Henry Howell 11/1/1824. Would the actual record for the deed gift mention more? How would I get more information on these individuals? I think her mothers maiden name may have been named Donaldson (Donelson)as Jane and one of her children has that as a middle name. Please advise..long distance genealogy is difficult.

I'm looking for the parents and any other siblings of my great(x2) grandmother, Sallie Enolia Taylor and her siblings (Jim Taylor, Mattie Taylor (married to Calvin Seay), 1/2 sister Molly Knight, 1/2 brother, Robert Taylor). Sallie was born 1862 and married James Albert Allison in 1886. They lived in Woodlawn for a time, but some photographs were taken at a studio on Erin so I believe that they may have lived in Houston or Stewart counties also. Please e-mail me if you have any connnection to these people.

THOMAS JEFFERSON TAYLOR.
I am researching the TAYLOR surname and I looking for any information on my great great grandfather, THOMAS JEFFERSON TAYLOR, born 1832 in STEWART COUNTY. I have only been able to trace this line back to him and then I hit a brick wall. I would appreciate any information on him and his parents. He ended up in MASSAC COUNTY, ILLINOIS where he lived many years. He was a sheriff for that county and before that he served as river pilot on the Misssissippi and Missouri rivers.

BLANTON, WEBSTER.
If anyone has any information on this couple, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you.

WHALEN
I am searching for information on Guy WHALEN born in Tennessee about 1934. He was in the military, Air force, I believe, and was either stationed in or around Memphis or was on leave there in September 1953 when he was about 20 years old. If this gent is living, he would be about 70 years old. He has proven to be my impenetrable brick wall. If you have information on him or his descendants, please, contact me. A big thank you from a frustrated genealogist!
