Collins Lela Kate CARNEY  20 Sept 1887 – 5 Jan 1970

Collins – Mrs. Lela Kate, 83, of Dayton, Tenn., died in the Rhea County hospital Monday evening. She was a member of the Concord Methodist Church and a lifelong resident of Rhea County. She is survived by one son, Martin Rattis Collins, Dayton, Tenn.; two brothers, Will Carney of Chattanooga, and Mynatt Carney, of Dayton, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Revs. Grady Roddy and S.H. Fairchild officiating. Interment in the Montgomery Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Clark, Clarke Hurst, Elvin Atkinson, Jimmy Day, Cleo Wilkins, Jay Wood, Arthur Smith and Jimmy Wilkey. The body will remain at the funeral home.
