Looking for descendants of Elijah Lee and Mary Hood. Our direct line
is through Newman Lee and Ellen Brown. Their son James Arthur Lee
married Ida Belle Hibberts. They were expecting a child when James
Arthur left to serve his country in World War 1, in which he gave his
life. Their son Arthur McKinley Lee was born 1919. Ida later married
Edith (Buster) Mason and had 8 more children. Arthur is still living
and would like to know some of his cousins before it is too late.

I am seeking any information regarding Grace Anthonet GEE. My info
states she was born 1/21/1838 in TN. Married James Washington
BED(D)INGFIELD in 1854 in Polk Co. TN. They lived in TN, MO, and
ARK. They had 13 or more children. Her mother's given name might
have been Priscilla. Family stories say she was 1/2 or full blood
Cherokee. I believe her mother was the full Cherokee but I need
conformation. I am the Granddaughter of one of her children, John
Lusk BEDINGFIELD. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

EMMALINE RYMER, (1880-1973).she was married to JOHN PRICE
(1880-1964).Her Parents were WILLIAM RYMER and SUZANNE KIRKLAND.Her

Some of my LINDSEY ancestors went to Copperhill, TN around 1900 and
they are supposedly buried there. Does anyone have the Listing for a
large cem. in Copperhill? I do not know if is the Public Cem. or not.

I'm looking for the Haire and Secrest families of Monroe County, TN.
On the 1880 Monroe County census, there is Thomas and Mary
(Secrest)Hair - they are my GGGrandparents. (Thomas appears with his
mother Emeline on the 1870 Cherokee County NC census) I believe
Mary's siblings include Jordan, Young, Barbara and Mary. I don't
know who the SECREST parents are. I don't know who Thomas Haire's
father was.
Jordan and his wife Susan appear on the 1910 Monroe County census.
There is also a Thomas Haire on that census, but I'm not sure how he
relates. Can anyone help?

I'm looking for information on James and Mahala Walling who are
listed in the Polk Co census for 1850. I believe they are also known
as WALDEN. (Their children include Mary, William, Elizabeth, Nancy,
John, Julia and Eliza.) Does anyone know what Mahala's maiden name

I'm looking for information on the Secrest family from Polk Co, TN.
Mary E Secrest married Thomas Hair. Mary's siblings may include
Jordan, Young, Barbara and Martha. Not sure who the parents were.
Thomas and Mary's children were Barbary, Edward, Andrew, Martha,
James, Mary, and Cordia. Barbara (who was born in Polk County)

Hi,I'm looking for my ancestory from Missouri My grandmother mother
was Sax and Fox Indian My great-grandmother name was Sarah Ann
(Snyder) Cox she married George Washington Cox in Kentucky and
settled in Missouri Mercer County. that was where my
grandmother was born and married James Taylor. Her name was Martha
Evaline (Cox) Taylor she died at a young age and her parents help
raise her five children. One of those five was my father his name was
known as Omer Wilson Taylor or Homer Wilson Taylor ,why he changed it
I don't know .Anyways his grandmother Sarah Ann had a son named John
Williams Cox which was my dad's Uncle registored as a choctaw in
Missouri.I'm looking for any help I can get to find relative of these

I am researching the family of JAMES R. PARSONS who lived in
Copperhill TN, Polk Co., in 1920. He lived there with his wife,
OLLIE BUCKNER PARSONS and two of his 15 children: OLIVER CARL
PARSONS and AUGUSTUS THEODORE PARSONS. I think they worked for the
Tennessee Mining Co. I am also particularly interested in one of
their other sons, ALVIN CAMLIN (OR COLEMAN) PARSONS. Any help would
be greatly appreciated. Hitting too many brick walls gives me a
headache.

Does anyone have a Obit or Cemetery record of 1860-1880 time period.
I am seeking date of death and burial site of: SARAH Haynes/Hanes
DUFF, widow of John DUFF, mother of Sheriff John Calvin DUFF of Polk
County, TN, whom she lived with by 1860. They arrived in Monroe/Polk
county area in early 1820s. John DUFF, Sr. died fighting a grass or
forest fire in 1829. They had 7 known children. Any information on

My gg grandfather, John Guinn and g grandfather Elbert Guinn lived in
Polk Co at least during the 1870 and 1880 census. They were both
mill hands or millers and lived 3rd district, and/or Parkville post
office area. During the 1860 census they lived in Greene Co with the
same occupation, 14th district - Henderson Mills post office. How
can I find information on census districts for Tenn counties and
locations of old mills so that I can narrow down the search for
likely cemeteries. I would like to visit both counties and would
like to walk on the same ground that they might have. Thank you so

I am researching (from the UK) the WORFOLK family. Interested to note
Mary Worfolk age 52 in the Polk County census for 1860, and George
Worfolk in the Roster of Company F of the 19th Tennessee Infantry. Is
there any further information about them at those references, please?

I am interested in finding my Cherokee heritage. My G-Grandmother
Roxie WILCOX was married to John LOTT in Mena, Ar. in 1902. Roxie's
mother was Francis FRY, who was married to supposingly Henry Wilcox
or James Wilcox. Francis died when Roxie was a young girl and Roxie
raised her brothers and sisters. Francis and her husband supposingly
lived at Ink, Ar. A small town of Mena, Ar. Supposingly buried at
Ink Cemetery. Francis may have come from Dogwood, Tn. She was half
or full blood Cherokee. Roxie and John lived in Broken-Bow, Ok. for
quite a few years and that is where they passed on. One daughter of
Roxie's in California, still living. If you have any info. it would

the 1851 Indian cencus?We think we may have a connection.My husband's

My grgrgrandfather, Nathan MIDDLETON, of the 29th Reg, Co F, NC
troops, under Ector's Brigade, was killed at the Battle of
Chickamauga, GA. I am told he was interred at Ridge, TN Civil War
cemetary, then moved to GA (?). Can anyone tell me what cemetary in
Ridge that possibly would have been, and to where in GA he possibly
would have been moved? Is the Chick/Chatt Mem Park in Fannin, Murray
or Gilmer Co?? Are either of these cemetaries online?? Can any one
help?

Im looking for information on John L Pearce b 1838 and Eliza Ann
White b1844. They were married in 1859 in the City of Benton. They
had 8 children and lived in Old Fort the rest of their lives. John L
died in 1913 and Eliza Ann died in 1920. Grateful for any
