| 09 July 2009 | We’ve just added a transcription of the 1819 petition to establish Perry County. It’s very interesting. Included in the petition is a list of 354 male residents of the area at that time. It is worth reading through the document as the spellings of names in this document were many times phonetic and not spelled “accurately”. |
