George ‘Dr. Baldie’ Washington Hinson – He filed for and received a disability pension from Civil War. He served with Company ‘C’ 48th Tennessee Regiment, infantry. His highest known rank was Corporal. He was captured by the North and was released after taking a oath of allegiance to the North, September 26,1864. I have a picture of him and he doesn’t look like any in this picture.
