Notes:  Narcissa Amanda Smiley is buried at Bobbitt Cemetery, Dyer, Gibson County, Tenn.

             Her husband, Thomas Ebaneezer Cummings, was killed at the Battle of Jonesboro, GA

             on 1 Sep 1864. Thomas was a captain and company commander in the 47th TN INF, CSA

             Newton Jasper Smiley served as a 1st LT in Company G, 32nd TN INF, CSA.  Later he

             served as Trustee of Marshall County.  He and his wife, Catherine Hall, are buried in the

             Cannon Cemetery in Belfast,  Marshall County, Tenn.
