NOTES: Andrew was a Captain in the Tennessee Militia and a veteranof
the War of 1812; he fought under Andrew Jackson in the Battle of New
Orleans.
Andrew was founder of the Methodist Episcopal Church in ChapelHill,
TN.
Andrew and Jane are buried in the Swanson Cemetery on MorningsideDrive
in Chapel Hill, TN. The plot they are in is surrounded with astone
wall. Markers are, of course, very old but legible. Alsoin the
enclosure is a marker placed by the Daughters of The War of 1812. It
says: Andrew Patterson Capt 1 Reg Tenn Militia War of 1812
Will written 7 Nov 1845 and probated 4 Jun 1849 names son: Hardyand
son: James.
