Company A of the 4th/8th Tennessee Cavalry Regiment 1892 Reunion

“In 1892, there was a reunion of Company A of the 4th/8th (Baxter Smith’s) Tennessee Cavalry Regiment at Farmington. George B. Guild delivered an address that day. Also, a picture was made of the attending veterans of this company. The only people I can identify in this photo are (1) my great-grandfather, Dr. Thomas Alexander Allen, fourth from left, front row; and (2) Scott Davis, third from right, back row.”

Willie Robinson identified the man at the far right to be Toney Chapman, an enslaved soldier.  Click here to read more about Mr. Chapman and his service.
