Debra Joann Ward was born on September 29, 1959 in Akron, OH to the late Iva Herring Laughery and Richard Laughery. She passed from this life on April 12, 2021 at the age of 61. She made a career as a medical transcriptionist and loved to sew in her spare time.

Debra is survived by her husband of 38 years, David Ward of Nunnelly, TN; daughters, Samantha Chula of Akron, OH and Elizabeth Myatt of Dickson, TN; son, Timothy Ward of Dickson, TN; sister, Kathy Laughery; and brothers, Richard Laughery and Robert Laughery; as well as fifteen grandchildren.
