Wilma Orton Mathis was born on June 29, 1932, in the Totty’s Bend community to Robert Audie and Mollie Fuller Orton, she died on April 6, 2021 at the age of 88. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters Elsie Hoover, Ann Orton, Betty Graham, brothers Robert Orton and John Orton.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years Jimmy Mathis, sons Gary (Gayle) Mathis and Tim Mathis, Grandchildren Amanda Mathis, and James Mathis, Great-grandchildren Britton and Wiley Mathis, and a sister Delphia Orton.

Mrs. Mathis worked for over 20 years as a bank teller in Centerville. 

Visitation will be 9 April 2021 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM and burial will be in Totty’s Bend Cemetery, Duck River, TN.
