Lonnie Waylin Spears of Hohenwald, passed away on Monday, May 27th at his residence, at the age of 77. Mr. Spears was born in Hohenwald, TN on April 17th, 1942 to the late Finis Spears and Hazel (Hinson) Spears.

Mr. Spears and his wife worshipped at the Springer Church of Christ where he was an elder for 15 years. He was an avid UT fan and enjoyed fishing and hunting turkey in his spare time. He also worked as a supervisor for Genesco for many years.

Preceding him in death is his parents and a daughter Judy Hoke.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Spears of Hohenwald, TN; Daughter, Tina (Ken) Gauthier of Hohenwald, TN and 3 Grandchildren Ryan Hoke, Casey Hoke & Kyle Huffman.

Visitation with the family will begin at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel – Lewis Co .  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel – Lewis Co with Elvis Williams & Johnny Clayton officiating. Burial will be in Springer Church of Christ Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to the Lewis County Cancer Victims Fund.
