Joe Garland Plunkett was born on February 5, 1938, in Centerville, and passed away on April 9, 2019, at his home in Centerville. He was the son of the late Ellis Vester Plunkett and Willie Edith Green Plunkett.

He was also preceded in death by his wives, Jean Tilley Plunkett and Shirley Joanne Weatherspoon Plunkett and his brother, Franklin Plunkett.

He is survived by his son, Darrell Plunkett of Centerville. sisters, Ida Mae Gordon of Murfreesboro and Johnnie Louise Plunkett of Centerville;  grandsons, Timmy Plunkett of Michigan, Alex Plunkett of Michigan, and Michael Plunkett of Centerville;  granddaughter, Kayla Plunkett of Centerville and one great-grandchild along with a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Visitation with the family will be held on 11 Apr 2019, from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. Funeral Services will be held on 12 Apr 2019 at 2:00 AM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
