Erna Ray “Jim” Wright, age 86, died August 6, 2019 at Life Care Center of Centerville. He was born September 3, 1932 in Capshaw Hollow, Hickman County TN to Andy and Arless (Cude) Wright.

Jim is survived by his brother, Nig. His children, Gary (Kita) Wright, Dean (Lisa) Wright and Angela (John) West. His grandchildren Misty (Jonathon) Aydelott, Christopher (Arielle) Wright and Amanda (Cody Haines) West. His great-grandchildren; Alyssa, Nevaeh, Ellie, Mathew, Wyatt and Edwin.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Jean, his sisters; Audia Bea Rayburn, Mary Collins, and Jenny Black and his brothers, Ed, Ralph, Munk, Bud and Pap.

Jim enjoyed live BlueGrass and Country music. He and Jean rarely missed the opportunity to enjoy music and dancing together. A founding member of the Grinders Switch CB Club, many knew him as Nail Bender. He was a logger, a mechanic for Kittrell’s Chevrolet, drove a concrete truck for Dorton’s Lumber and worked in construction for Buck Easley. In later years, he was self-employed and loved tinkering with lawnmowers.

Visitation with the family will be held on 7 Aug 2019 at 4:00PM-8:00PM and 8 Aug 2019 from 9AM-11AM at the McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. Funeral services will be conducted on 8 Aug 2019, at 11AM, in the McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.
