Moon, Christopher Adam
Christopher Adam Moon, known to family and friends as Chris, passed away on May 20, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 46.
Chris was born on September 13, 1979, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, and he carried the values of his hometown with him throughout his life. He was a man who loved deeply, laughed easily, and brought warmth and humor to the people around him. Those who knew him best will remember him as loving, kind, and funny, and he will be missed beyond measure by all whose lives he touched.
Chris was the beloved husband of Michelle Brewer Moon and a devoted father to his sons, Dilan Moon and Dustin Moon. He took great pride in his family and found his greatest joy in the time he spent with those he loved most. He was also a proud grandfather to Brantley and Westen Moon, and his face would light up whenever he was with his grandsons. The bond he shared with his family was strong and lasting.
He is survived by his mother, Sandra York Moon, who held a special place in his heart throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Eugene Moon, whose memory remained important to him. Chris also leaves behind his sister, Mechelle Johnston, and her husband, Dennis, as well as his brother, Thomas Moon, and his wife, Amy. Family was central to Chris’s life, and he cherished the connections he shared with each of them.
Chris enjoyed the simple and meaningful things in life. He loved hunting and fishing, and he found peace in the outdoors and in the traditions that came with it. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and extended family. Whether he was sharing a story, offering a joke, or simply being present, Chris had a way of making others feel welcome and cared for. His sense of humor and easygoing nature made him a joy to be around, and his memory will continue to bring smiles to those who loved him.
Those who knew Chris will remember a man who was steady in his love and generous in his spirit. He valued family above all else and lived his life in a way that reflected that devotion.
A private family service to honor Chris’s life will be held. His family takes comfort in knowing that his memory will live on through the many lives he touched and through the love he gave so freely.
