Mrs. LouNelle Chapman, age 75, of Hohenwald, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, with her family by her side.

She was born on August 2, 1950, in Linden and was the daughter of the late William C. Deavers and Dorothy L. Alberson Deavers. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert “Hoss” Alberson and Lou C. “Sindy” Alberson.

LouNelle was a simple and loving lady who found joy in the everyday blessings of life. She dearly loved reading her Bible, cooking and baking for those she loved, and spending time with family and friends. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Hohenwald.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Phillip Chapman; daughter, Selena Michelle Langdon (Frank M. Langdon IV); sister, Joyce Janette Morris (James Franklin Morris); brother, Albert Benjamin Deavers (Maria Deavers); granddaughter, Olivia Langdon; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends who will cherish her memory.

Mrs. Chapman’s funeral will be held Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home – Lewis County with Ronnie Brewer and Don Pollock officiating. Interment will follow at the Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lewis County Cancer Victims Fund.
