Martha Jo Canady was born on January 24, 1935, in Wrigley, Tennessee, and passed away on March 26, 2026, at the age of 91.

Mrs. Canady was the daughter of the late Horace Owen Bentley and Mamie Buyde Smith Bentley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Canady; brothers, James, Jack, and George; sister, Billie Sue Griffin; son, Larry Ray Canady; grandson, Kenneth Edward Canady; and son-in-law, Steve Glaser.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Sonja Glaser; sons, Tony (Pam) Canady, Tim Canady, Tiff (Kathy) Canady, and Terry (Diane) Canady; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Canady was a faithful and active member of the Charlotte Heights Church of Christ and was baptized at the Centerville Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her family, reading her Bible, working crossword puzzles, and volunteering in church activities. Martha Jo was a former preschool teacher, school crossing guard and served as a local YMCA aftercare teacher.
