Kelley, Virgil Lee
Born on May 24, 1947, in Pleasantville, Tennessee, Virgil was the son of Morgan and Lena Seaton Kelley. He spent his entire life in the community he loved.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue Williams Kelley; his son, Glenn Kelley; and his sister, Patsy Baker.
Virgil is survived by his daughter, April Kelley; his sister, Carolyn Tanner Kern; his nieces, Linda, Lisa, Nancy, Ester, Debbie, Shana, Lana, Dianna, and Shirley; and his nephew, Keith. He also leaves behind a host of great-nieces and great-nephews who will cherish his memory.
Virgil was a hardworking and dedicated man. He was employed for many years at Tencon in Centerville, Tennessee. In later years, he continued serving his community by driving a bus for the Senior Citizen Center in Centerville and later for the Hickman County School System.
He was a faithful member of Upper Sinking Church of Christ and proudly served his country as a member of the Tennessee National Guard.
Visitation with the family will be 12 April 2026 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. Funeral Services will be held 13 April 2026 at 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County with burial fo follow at Qualls Family Cemetery, Pleasantville, TN.
