Carter, Tony Eugene
Born on June 29, 1961, in Nashville, Tennessee, Tony was the son of Jesse Carter and Margaret Harrison Delk, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his sister, Kaye Ingram and his son-in-law, Anthony Padgett.
Tony is survived by his loving daughters, Misty (Luke) Langley and Tonya Padgett; his life partner, Wanda Wilson; his brothers, Roy Capps, Kenneth Delk, Ricky Carter, and Jesse Carter; and his sister, Tammy Mosley. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom he cherished deeply.
Tony dedicated many years of service to Metro Nashville, where he worked primarily as a truck driver while also taking on various other responsibilities before retiring.
He had a deep love for music and was an avid guitar player, earning a reputation among friends and family as the “Music City Outlaw Singer.” Tony also enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson and embraced the freedom of the open road. Known for his independent spirit and sense of humor.
Tony will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for music, and his free-spirited nature. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
