Ledbetter, Bessie P
Ms. Bessie Parrish Ledbetter, a lifelong resident of Spring Creek in Perry County went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 31, 2026. She was 99 years old, born on August 8, 1926 in Linden to the late Ollie Lee Parrish and Sally Emma Stinnet Parrish.
She was a retired factory worker of 55 plus years between Slant & Slant (Parsons) until it closed and then Robinson Manufacturing (Linden). She loved being outside, gardening, cooking, shopping, gospel music, spending time with her family, and she loved being “Granny Butter” to her precious grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and most anyone that knew her.
Bessie leaves behind a legacy of hard work, unconditional love and devotion to her family, friends, and faith.
In addition to her parents, Bessie is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ledbetter, her children, William Lawson (John) Ledbetter and Bonnie Mae Ledbetter, her granddaughter, Tammy Barber, one great grandson, Brady Lee, a daughter-n-law, Judy Ledbetter, and her sisters Ruth Parrish, Ruby Churchwell, Ella Mae Cook, Dolly McKnight, Evelyn Parrish, and brothers Wiley, Billy, Burton, George, Lawrence “Red”, Jimmy Rodger, and Johnny Parrish.
She is survived by, her son, Ronnie Ledbetter, two daughters, Nina Barber (Johnny), Doris Montgomery (Alan), eight grandchildren, Cindy Dodd Tiller, Kevin Boyle, David Curley, Jana Lee (David), Jodi Duncan, Alison Moore (Shaun), Tyler Ledbetter and Taylor Ledbetter, six great-grandchildren, Brody Lee, Davi Lee, John David Duncan, Lawson Duncan, Adalyn Moore, Daxton Moore, her brother, Wesley Parrish, and a host of other loving family and friends.
