Remona Josephine Capps, of Nunnelly, Tennessee, passed away on January 7, 2026, at Life Care Center of Centerville. She was 74 years old.

Remona was born on August 20, 1951, in Centerville, Tennessee, to the late B. C. Baker and Elsie Jones Baker.

She is survived by her loving children, Stacey Capps and Tommy (Trina) Capps. Remona was a devoted grandmother to Hunter (Abby) Capps, Haley Capps, Becky Capps, and Kylie Capps, and a cherished great-grandmother to Evelynn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Capps; her beloved granddaughter, Tristen Capps; her siblings, Pete Baker, Lloyd Baker, and Norma Baker; and her niece, Kim Baker.

Remona dedicated her working life to serving others. She drove a school bus for the Hickman County Board of Education for five years before beginning a 23-year career with the State of Tennessee, where she worked with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency. She will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her deep devotion to her family, and the kindness and care she showed to everyone she met.
