Jessie Lee Slate, age 98, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025. She was born on July 13, 1927, the daughter of the late Annie E. and Grover C. Cude. 

Mrs. Slate was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde E. Slate, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage, as well as her siblings Mittie Tucker, Nell Lawrence, John T. Cude, Willie Waters, Roy B. Cude, Ava D. White, Eunice M. Lewis, and Georgie M. Waters.

She is survived by her daughter, Judith Marble Beauregard; grandchildren, Larry E. Marble and Lisa E. Marble; and great-grandchildren, Luke E. Marble and Laney B. Marble.

Jessie worked as a waitress, spent five years employed at Dodge Main in Michigan, and devoted much of her life to being a loving homemaker. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and will be remembered for her gentle spirit, strong work ethic, and unwavering love for her family.
Her legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Visitation with the family will be 24 Oct 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will be 25 Oct 2025 at 11:00 AM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
