Bobby Leon Owens, age 82, of Summertown, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at his residence. He was a native of Lawrence County, Tennessee, retired electronic technician from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, and of the Southern Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olon James and Geneva Eloise Foster Owens; and three brothers, Richard Owens, Stephen Owens, and Denver Owens.

He is survived by one brother, Ronald E. Owens of Chesapeake, Virginia; three nephews, Shawn Owens (Kelly), Lonnie Owens, and Chad Owens, all of Summertown; four nieces, Tracy Owens Johnson (Jeff) of Chesapeake, Virginia, Michelle Owens Knight (Brian) of Summertown; Patricia Owens of Portsmouth, Virginia, and Katherine Owens Allison of Chesapeake, Virginia; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Alicia Gama, GoodWorks At Home, and Compassus for all the care they provided.

Funeral services were conducted at Neal Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg Saturday, September 20, 2025, with Keith Durham officiating. Interment followed at John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge, Tennessee.
