Moore, Paris Alvin
Paris Alvin Moore, a cherished husband, devoted father, and beloved grandfather, passed away on September 25, 2025, in Columbia, TN, at the age of 76. Born on September 8, 1949, in Barnesville, Tennessee, to the late Noley and Annie Ashmore Moore, Paris grew up in a close-knit household alongside his siblings, Melvin, Lloyd, Troy, Mary Evelyn, Dot, and Iva, all of whom predeceased him.
A patriot at heart, Paris honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Germany for two years before transitioning to the reserves. His work ethic was further exemplified by his career at General Motors, as well as his extensive experience at Dana Corporation.
Paris was a man of many interests, all of which revolved around his love for family and his easy-going nature. He found joy in tinkering with gadgets, staying informed and entertained through YouTube, and watching TV. His passion for the outdoors was evident through his love of camping and the countless fishing trips he took with his boys, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Those who knew him will remember Paris as one of the best fathers one could ever have -a man with a sweet nature who was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
The family welcomed friends and loved ones to pay their respects during the visitation in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services were held at the same location at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. In honor of his service to his country, Paris was accorded Military Honors at Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.
