Donna Frances Deavers, passed away on December 20, 2024, at her home in Hohenwald, Tennessee. Born on September 4, 1947, in the sunny state of Florida, Donna’s life was vibrant with the joys of family, the beauty of nature, and the pursuit of artistic passions.
Donna’s journey began as the cherished daughter of Donald Thomas and Johnny Baggett. She was a loving sister to Jerry Baggett, and she fondly remembered her late siblings, Donald Baggett and Deane Baggett, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond.
The heart of Donna’s world was her family. She shared a beautiful union with her late husband, James Deavers, whose memory she held close to her heart. Donna was a devoted mother to her children, Sandy Menge, Verlon Deavers, Timothy Deavers, Brian Deavers, and Willie Jones. She was predeceased by her daughter Carol Davis and her son Michael Deavers, whose memories remained a source of strength and love throughout her life. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren all of whom will carry on the many memories made.
Donna’s zest for life was evident in her array of interests. Her gardens were a riot of color, reflecting her spirit in every bloom and leaf. She found solace in the pages of books and joy in the art of storytelling. Conversations with Donna were never dull, as she had the gift of making every moment count with her engaging tales and infectious laughter.
Her love of bird watching was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of her appreciation for the simple pleasures of life. The companionship of her dogs brought her immeasurable comfort and happiness, and their presence was a constant reminder of unconditional love.
Donna’s artistic talents were a sight to behold. Her paintings of Indian portraits were a tribute to her heritage and a reflection of her creative soul. Dancing to music was more than a pastime for Donna; it expressed her inner joy.
