Wilcox, William C
William C. Wilcox, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, left this world to embark on his final adventure on May 29, 2024, at the age of 34. Born on November 4, 1989, in Corning, NY, William was the source of joy and the protector of his beloved family.
William grew up surrounded by the love and care of his parents, Gerald and Amanda Wilcox, and his siblings, Michael, Heather, Crystal, Carl Strauss, and Marissa Jackson. William’s playful spirit and warm heart left an indelible mark on his nephews, Dakota, Dalton, and Zander.
William’s love for nature was as expansive as the great outdoors he so often sought refuge in. Fishing was not just a hobby for him but a way of connecting with the world around him. His passion extended to the virtual realms as well, where he would lose himself in video games, exploring galaxies far, far away, and embodying the spirit of his favorite Star Wars characters.
A lifelong fan of wrestling, William’s enthusiasm for the sport was infectious, and he could often be found cheering on his favorite wrestlers with an intensity that matched the action in the ring. This same fervor was evident in his unwavering support for the Buffalo Bills, through thick and thin.
William’s love for music and cookouts brought together friends and family in celebration, creating memories filled with laughter, good food, and the melodies that he treasured. His presence was a comforting constant, his protective nature a source of strength and safety for all who were lucky enough to be part of his circle.
As the sun sets on William’s time with us, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on in the beauty of the world he adored, in the gentle ripple of a fishing line on a quiet lake, and in the stories and memories we share. He passed away in Linden, TN, but his legacy is as boundless as the skies he so loved to explore.
A celebration of William’s life will be held at a later date, where stories will be shared, tears will be shed, and laughter will echo as a tribute to a life so beautifully lived.
