Sood, Jason Daniel
Jason Daniel Sood, age 47, of Hohenwald, TN, a devoted husband, father, brother, and son, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2023, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on March 13, 1976, in Flint, Michigan, Jason’s life was a testament to his faith, love, and unwavering commitment to his family and community.
He was a loving, faithful husband to his wife of 20 years Mrs. Diana Hinson Sood and a loving brother to Melanie, Christopher, and Tim Sood, Jason’s role within the family extended beyond sibling to that of a mentor and friend. His children, Garrett Shane Hankins and Dakota Aaron Hankins, were the pride and joy of his life, and his grandchild, Serenity Stanton, added a sparkle to his eye that words could hardly convey.
Jason’s early years in Flint, Michigan, laid a strong foundation for the compassionate and industrious man he would become. His parents, Ronald H. Sood and Debb Hipwood, instilled in him a robust work ethic and a deep sense of caring for others. Jason’s grandmother, Dorothy Sood, and stepmother Peggy Sood survives him, as does the cherished memory of his in-laws Bill and Norma Hinson, and grandparents Billie Hipwood and Gerhard Sood, who predeceased him.
Professionally, Jason was as hardworking as they come, with a passion for his work that was paralleled only by his love for lawnmowers and computers. His knack for tinkering with gadgets was well-known, and there was no challenge too great for his inquisitive mind.
But Jason’s character shone brightest in his personal interactions. To say that he was loving, kind, and faith-filled barely scratches the surface of his profound impact on those around him. A gentle giant in both stature and spirit, he had a heart that knew no bounds and was always ready to do anything for anyone. His presence was a source of comfort and strength to all who knew him.
His dedication to sharing his faith was unwavering. Jason was a soldier for Christ, always telling people of Jesus and striving to lead them to the path of salvation. His efforts were not in vain, as he was seen as a hero to many, an inspiration to live a life grounded in love and faith.
As we say farewell to Jason Daniel Sood, we celebrate a life that was lived with purpose and grace. He was a beacon of light in the lives of his family, friends, and community—a legacy that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those he touched. Jason’s journey on earth may have come to an end, but his spirit lives on, guiding and comforting us until we meet again.
