Murphy, Sheryl
Sheryl Murphy, 58, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2023, at AHC Mount Juliet, in Tennessee.
Born June 9, 1965, in Columbia, to Mickey Murphy, Sr. and Mary Coles Lemay.
She attended and graduated from Lewis County High School, and later attended Tennessee Rehabilitation Center for Business management. There she found her former partner – Joe. Joe gave her one of the best gifts in the world, her baby boy- Joseph.
Sheryl and Joe ran a business for a few years until the end of their relationship. Later on, she would go on to have another gift, her daughter Kaylee. While pregnant with Kaylee, she met the love of her life – Ronald.
In 2004, Sheryl would move to Minnesota to live her life with her family. Upon moving to Minnesota, Sheryl was employed at Winona ORC, Inc for 11 years. She would spend her time with her kids, work or Ron. She was never the type to sit and be bored in the house. Whether it was shopping trips to Walmart, walks around Winona Lake and maybe a bar or two back in the day, she always had to keep her mind busy.
Everyone who met her would say she was a fighter, someone who could make anybody laugh, and always spoke her mind. She herself, even with her disabilities and daily struggles always said “My CP is my celebrity profile” and “Even Mike Tyson can’t beat me”.
She is survived by her sister Kimberly (Scott Fraizer) King of Wabasha, Minnesota, brother Mickey Murphy, Jr. of Nashville, son Joseph Mattox of Murfreesboro, daughter Kaylee (Thomas Carney) Murphy of Winona, Minnesota, two dog-sons Linus and Lorenzo Murphy, “Sister from another mister” Misty Thaxton, nieces and nephews Kaitlyn of Rochester, Minnesota, Mason, John, and Jessica all of Hohenwald, Derrick Hankins of Murfreesboro, Shaina Carroll of Winona, Grandpup Bear Carney
She is preceded in death by: Her parents, Love of her life Ronald Wright, nephew Chris “Bubba” Tucker, sister-in-Law Ashley Martin, grandson Baby “peanut” Carney, her four legged best friend Precious Maddie.
The family is asking donations be made to Winona ORC and or National Kidney Foundation. Memorial arrangements are still being prepared at this time.
