Ms. Fredia Borders Pekarek peacefully passed away in her Hohenwald home on February 1, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 27, 1945, in Hadley, KY. To the late Alva G and Ervil Gill Borders. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings Charles Borders and Nadine Hedgespeth.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Darryl S. Pekarek (Michelle), daughter Deanna S. Medina (Tomas), granddaughter Karen Pekarek, and sisters Patty Smith, Marlene Campbell, and Jo Beavers.

In her spare time, she enjoyed getting lost in the chapters of a good book or working a crossword puzzle.  She was also known for her sewing skills and producing the most beautiful prom dresses. On occasion Fredia was found in her kitchen baking up delicious treats.

Per Ms. Fredia’s wishes, no services will take place. Adair Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
