Accident in the Harvest Field (1872_

Mr. S. D. STANFIELD, depot agent at Riceville, was the victim of a serious casualty on the 26th ult. He was in the wheat field, feeding a threshing machine, and while thus engaged his attention was drawn away, and he permitted his right arm to be caught in the machinery, and it was literally ground off above his elbow (page 1, col 1)
