a story of service, honesty, hard work and initiative, of cooperation between merchant and wholesaler, and among all who have sought the best for Lexington and its people.  United is fifty years old this year, but it is young in ambition and in strength, and every member of its organization looks forward to the completion of another half-century of service.  For the members of the United Grocery Company teams know - and draw great comfort from the fact - that they are privileged to enjoy the trust and the support of as fine and as loyal a people as any anywhere in the world.  This is a trust which has never been betrayed, and which will be the source of continuing inspiration in the years which lie ahead.
