Priscllia Galbraith, daughter of John Galbraith and his wife Martha Larkins, was born 14 August 1791 and married Robert Wright on the 2nd day of August 1813. Robert served as a Justice of the Peace in Hawkins County for several years. The Hawkins County census of 1840 lists the Wright‘s with 8 children, 6 males and 2 females. The family members listed below have been reconstructed from the Hawkins County census of 1850 and the records of the new Providence Presbyterian Church where the Wright‘s held membership. Robert Wright and Priscilla were admitted on 6 August 1826 and their children, John Calvin, Mary Elizabeth and Leander Wesley Wright were baptized 17 June 1827. In addition another child Martha is known, from the marriage records of Hawkins County as she was married to Barnet G. Simpson on 27 May 1841 by Robert Cooper, J.P. In addition the child Hallen is supplied by Bess Church McDonald. The Robert Wright family, as reconstructed from the sources quoted above is shown below:
