Mr. Hardy BLACK, of Toone, was in our office on last Monday looking as well and as pleasant as usual.

Dr. THOMPSON, of Cranesville, was in town Monday last, greeting his many friends.

Mr. J. E. MASK and family, of Memphis, are visiting the family of Dr. J. M. MASK this week.

Mr. J. C. BRADFORD, City Attorney of Nashville, was in Bolivar several days this week on important business.

Mr. D. W. McANULTY and son Moorman, paid the Bulletin a visit on yesterday.

Mrs. Ben WILSON, of Memphis, is visiting the family of Dr. H. W. TATE.

Mr. J. E. SHEETS, of Memphis, was in town last week visiting his parents. He returned last Monday taking his sister, Miss Bell, with him awhile.

The different schools of Bolivar will open on Monday next. Bolivar Male Academy, J. Milton HUBBARD, principal, A. W. BLISS, assistant; Bolivar Female Academy, Miss GALLOWAY, principal, Mrs. FENTRESS, assistant; Mrs. Dr. NELSON, teacher of music, Bolivar Select School, Mrs. THOMPSON, principal, Miss SAFFORD, assistant. The former is one of the best schools for boys in the District, while the two latter are devoted to the culture of the female mind and are unsurpassed by any institutions of learning in this division of the State. Let them be well attended.

The closing exercises of Mrs. THOMPSON‘s select school for young ladies, will take place at the Presbyterian Church, in this place, on next Wednesday evening, commencing at 7:30 PM. Rev. J. H. GRAY, D. D., of LaGrange, will deliver an appropriate address on the occasion, at the conclusion of which prizes will be awarded the young ladies who excel in the different branches of study. The public are invited to attend.

On next Monday the doors of Mrs. THOMPSON‘s select school for young ladies as well as those of the Bolivar Male Academy, J. Milton HUBBARD, principal, will be open for the reception of scholars. Both of the schools referred to are all that could be desired, and will no doubt be liberally patronized.
