School. – How can we more essentially benefit our country, than by instructing and giving a proper direction to the minds of our youth.  How beautifully it has been said, “If a tree bear no blossoms in Spring, ye need expect no fruit in autumn,”  and what an eloquent appeal it is in behalf of proper education in the spring of life.

Mrs. Dr. BATTE and Miss Sallie SHAPARD will open a school next Monday, at Dr. BATTE’s residence, and will receive pupils large or small.  Mrs. BATTE will also take a few scholars on the Piano.
