In the name of God Amen I Robert Stevenson of the County of Carroll and State of Tennessee being of Sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be God do this 18th day of November in the year of our Lord 1838 make this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say First I give and bequath the Tract of land in which I now live to my daughter Mary Stevenson and my son William M. Stevenson to be owned by them Jointly for their use and benefit. 2nd. I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Stevenson my Gray mare and to my son William M. Stevenson I give and bequeath my bay mare. 3rd. I give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary Stevenson my big Bible and hymn Book and to my son William M. Stevenson I give and bequeath my Latin Dicitonary also one English Dictionary. 4th. I give and bequeath to my son Saml. G. Stevenson my Cross cut Saw & woods Dictionry.
5th. I give and bequeath to my son William M. Stevenson all my plantation utencits and all the tools belonging to the plantation use of the farm
6th. I give and bequeath to my Grand Daughters Eliza Jane Stevenson and Winney Catharine Stevenson one bed and furniture each one cow and Calf and Ewe and lamb each also Some household furniture left discretionary with their Aunt Mary Stevenson to give them.
7th. It is my wish that my wagon remain on the plantation for the use of the plantation and the family while they remain together. 8th. It is my wish that the household furniture not particularly bequeathed in this my last will and Testament remain with my Daughter Mary Stevenson Subject to her controll and disposal as may Suit her inclination, and I hereby make and ordain my worthy friend William Tharpe Executor and my loving Daughter Mary Stevenson my Executrix of this my last will and Testament. In witness whare of I the said Robert Stevenson have to this my last will and Testament set my hand and seal the day and year above written. Signed sealed published and declared by the said Robert Stevenson the Testator as his last will and Testament in the presence of us who ware present at the time of Signing and Sealing there of.

This day the last will and Testament of Robert Stevenson Decd was produced in open court and the Execution duly proven by the oath of Alexander R. Vickers one of the Subscribing witnesses their to and ordered to be recorded.
